EMPOWERMENT Printbar ‚Forest‘

Die ‚Printbar‘ ist ein partizipatorisches Projekt, das das Thema Gleichheit und Emanzipation innerhalb von Workshops mit verschiedenen Gruppen, einschließlich Migranten und gefährdeten Gemeinschaften, diskutiert. Aus diesen Gesprächen heraus werden Texte und grafische Arbeiten miterschaffen und/oder in visuelle Botschaften umgewandelt, auch in verschiedenen Sprachen. Relevante Personen, die bestimmte Stimmen der Veränderung und des Widerstands repräsentieren, werden ebenfalls abgebildet, insbesondere im Rahmen von Kämpfen gegen Rassismus, Sexismus und Kolonialismus.

Die Bilder und Botschaften sind durch Siebdrucke, Linolschnitte und Briefmarken für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Die Druckbar taucht an verschiedenen Orten auf und lädt Passanten ein, die Motive, mit denen sie sich identifizieren, zu drucken. Die Drucke werden in Form von T-Shirts, Notizbüchern, Postkarten und Taschen hergestellt, kleine Geschenke, um die Botschaft zu verbreiten.

The print bar is a participatory project that discusses the topic of equality and emancipation within workshops with various groups, including migrant and vulnerable communities. Out of these conversations, texts and graphic works are co-created and/or re-appropriated into visual messages, also in various languages. Relevant people representing particular voices of change and resistance are also depicted, especially within struggles against racism, sexism, and colonialism.

The images and messages are available to the public through silkscreen, linocuts, and stamps. The print bar pops up in different places inviting passers-by to print the motifs they identify with. The prints are made in t-shirts, notebooks, postcards and bags, small gifts to spread the word around.
